According to Viforest’s report, 2019 – 2025 period shows that Vietnam’s Wood and forest products industry has maintained impressive growth over the past five years despite ongoing volatility in global trade. Export turnover of Wood products increased from USD 10,33 billion to USD 18 billion in 2025 positioning Vietnam as the leading exporter in Asia and the fifth largest exporter in global.

With such great achievements, Vietnam Wood industry has faced some challenges at macro level such as the risk of political competition, trade protection, origin fraud and tariff pressure have strongly increased. Especially, the growing pressure for green transformation driven by increasingly stringent international market requirements, the requirements of EURD, the climate change issues,.. .are becoming the major challenges toward Wood enterprises.
